Rebekah (pictured above performing at camp) is a Canadian who has been working at Hampton Country Day Camp for the past 2 summers. She recently graduated from Mount Allison University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. I wanted to put my spotlight on Rebekah as she is also one of the new recruiters in Canada. We are so happy to have her on the IENA Recruitment Team!
I asked her a few questions about her previous summers and here is what she had to say:
What is your favorite memory from the summer?
βOur camp had a wacky water slide day, all the campers and counselors had a blast racing each other. Of course all the campers managed to win ! It is always so nice just to spend the afternoon in the water with all the kids as a treat for them.β
What advice would you have for an individual looking to come to the US?
βDon’t be nervous! I went into my first year a nervous wreck and it was all for nothing. Everyone I met and worked with was in a similar position and was so helpful and kind. Know that you will make fast friends that are there to look out for you!β
Rebekah is planning to return to Hampton Country Day camp in 2018.
Yours in Camping,
Adam Heslop
