This expression is a great truism and nothing reflects a huge dose of Americana than the Super Bowl.
The Super Bowl is probably one of the worlds biggest sporting events if not the largest – matched by only the World Cup, the Olympics and maybe March Madness.
Having said that, if you asked most European participants and participants from Mexico or Columbia there is a much better chance that they would know Lionel Messi or Rolando than Tom Brady who is about to play for the New England Patriots in his 8th Super Bowl and is arguably the greatest Quarter Back in the history of US Football.
Approximately 120 million people will watch the Super Bowl this weekend and many a Super Bowl party will be taking place all over the world – when I lived in England my party would go until the end of the game (3am in the UK).
The IENA staff is divided between the Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles as to who will win.
May the best team win – Go Pats!!!
