Guadalupe traveled to the US from Lima, Peru, where she’s a student at Universida de San Martin de Porres studying International Business Management.
As a participant in IENA’s Summer Work Travel program, she worked at YMCA of the Rockies (Snow Mountain Ranch) this past winter in housekeeping. The Y is located in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.
“Being literally at the gate in the airport makes me realize the amazing things I could do in this work and travel program. It was such a nice experience, I could meet a lot of people from different parts of the world and incredible friends, I could learn different languages and cultures, different states, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity life gave me to be able to spend 3 months of my life doing this program. Till the next trip, it’s time to go.”
Guadalupe’s cover photo was taken at Santa Monica beach in Los Angeles, California. She stands in front of the Hollywood sign above, which is an American cultural icon and landmark also located in Los Angeles.
Thanks to Guadalupe for sharing her photos and experience with IENA.
